A Note from Emma, Studio Director

Hi, I’m Emma Lovelock, founder of The Pilates Corner, an award-winning mat-based Pilates studio in Baldock, Hertfordshire.

We’re on the lookout for 1–2 experienced instructors to join our team and support the growing demand for inclusive and highly functional Pilates classes.

If you’re passionate about helping clients with real-world challenges - stiffness, arthritis, post-surgery recovery, and age-related mobility issues - you could be the perfect fit.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for mat-based Pilates instructors who are confident delivering:

  • Mixed-ability classes

  • Low-intensity, functional movement sessions

  • Pre-and Postnatal exercise (a six-week course plan will be provided for these sessions)

Our client base is made up of mainly women aged 40-65 but also includes older adults, clients with osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, spinal conditions, and those recovering from surgery or injury.

The right instructor will be someone who:

  • Understands how to teach beyond the textbook

  • Can adapt on the fly to a range of physical limitations

  • Leads with kindness, clarity, and confidence

Essential Requirements:

To be considered, you must have:

  • Level 3 Mat-Based Pilates qualification

  • A recognised Pre & Postnatal qualification

  • A recognised qualification in Orthopaedic Conditions

  • At least 12 months’ teaching experience

  • Confidence working with clients who need modifications, support, and clear instruction

  • A calm, encouraging teaching style that makes everyone feel seen

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience teaching Chair Pilates or working with clients aged 60+

  • A background in physiotherapy, rehab, or clinical exercise

  • A warm, personable presence and great communication skills

  • Flexibility to cover other classes on our timetable (especially daytime)

  • Trigger Point Pilates™️ Qualification
